Magazine Submissions and Publication Policy
Role of the Magazine:
The magazine’s involvement is limited solely to the reception, review, and publication of submissions.
The magazine is responsible only for displaying and publishing submitted materials according to their editorial standards and schedule.
The magazine holds no responsibility beyond publication, including content approval, quality assurance, or liability related to the submitted work.
Responsibilities of Submitters:
It is the sole responsibility of the submitter to ensure that all submitted content is appropriate, complete, and complies with the magazine’s submission guidelines.
The submitter must provide accurate and proper credit information to be displayed alongside the work, including the names of all credited parties (e.g., photographer, stylist, makeup artist, hair stylist, model).
The submitter warrants that they possess the rights to the submitted content and that proper credit will be given.

Guidelines
FASHION EDITORIALS
Be creative (we do not discriminate, all sizes are great, and all styles are reviewed, as long as you are creative and the photos are amazing)
Submission Requirements:
- All images must be retouched and edited
- Please include, your team members, and the designers’ social media information in the credits so we can tag them when we share the images online (on all major social media platforms) when applicable.
- We copy and paste each name directly from the file. So, please triple-check all the names for accuracy.

Please add them inside the system (find the people or add them)
CREDITS CORRECTIONS FEE ($50 payable through Square) make sure when you upload the credits that they are correct and that Instagrams are added to all team members. If you need any corrections there will be a $50 fee charged to make them.
NOTE
- We are unable to provide complimentary copies to our print-on-demand contributors. However, we will promote your work on our website and social media.

By submitting your work, you need to:
- Guarantee and represent that you are the sole and exclusive legal owner of all rights, title, & interest in all the work you submitted, including all related intellectual property interests (such as trademarks and copyrights).
- Defend and indemnify the Publisher (IN BLVCK mag – IN BLVCK MEDIA L.L.C.) fully against all liabilities, damages, costs, debts, claims, and expenses which the Publisher may suffer or incur from a 3rd party claim where the material published infringes or misappropriates any third party proprietary or intellectual property as a result of the breach of the above clause.

Test Shoot: Roles & Responsibilities
Introduction
This document outlines the roles and responsibilities of each team member involved in the test shoot. Its purpose is to clarify scope, prevent misunderstandings, and ensure a smooth, professional process. Please review carefully.
- Photographer
Pre-shoot:
Develop shoot concept and mood board.
Coordinate with stylists, makeup artists, and hair stylists regarding styling and overall vision.
Plan shot list, lighting, and framing.
During shoot:
Direct talent and crew to achieve desired images.
Make decisions on shot angles, lighting, and composition.
Review and select images for retouching.
Post-shoot:
Communicate editing and retouching requirements to post-production team.
- Stylist
Pre-shoot:**
Select, prepare, and organize wardrobe and accessories.
Ensure garments are in pristine condition and fit properly.
Collaborate with the photographer on styling concepts.
During shoot:
Assist with wardrobe adjustments and styling needs.
Maintain clothing presentation throughout the shoot.
Post-shoot:
Handle wardrobe returns or storage.
Note:
The stylist is not responsible for food, beverages, or retouching.
- Make Up Artist (MUA)
Pre-shoot:
Prepare makeup looks aligned with the shoot concept.
Conduct testing or trials if needed.
During shoot:
Apply and touch up makeup as required.
Ensure makeup remains camera-ready.
Post-shoot:
Remove makeup if necessary.
Note:
The makeup artist is not responsible for food, beverages, or retouching.
- Hair Stylist
Pre-shoot:
Style hair according to the shoot concept.
Finalize hairstyles prior to shooting.
During shoot:
Make adjustments or touch-ups as needed.
Post-shoot:
Restore or remove hairstyles as appropriate.
Note:
The hair stylist is not responsible for food, beverages, or retouching.
- Model
Pre-shoot:
Arrive prepared, on time, and in accordance with provided guidelines.
During shoot:
Pose and follow directions from the photographer.
Communicate any discomfort or issues promptly.
Post-shoot:
Leave the set in good condition.
Additional Clarifications
Craft Services:
Responsibilities for food, snacks, and beverages are not part of the test shoot scope.
Any arrangements for food or drinks must be made separately and are outside the purview of this team.
Retouching:
Retouching will be handled by designated post-production professionals.
No team member (stylist, makeup artist, hair stylist) is responsible for retouching unless explicitly agreed upon.
Post Shoot Etiquette:
Retouching Respect: Please refrain from posting unretouched images. Ensure that all images shared have undergone the agreed-upon editing process to maintain the integrity of the work.
Publishing Protocol: Do not share images before they have been officially published or released by the respective magazine or platform. Adhering to the agreed publication timeline is essential for all parties involved.
Credit Clarity: Always provide full credits for the entire team, including photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and designers. Acknowledging everyone’s contribution is vital in fostering a respectful and collaborative environment.
Communication Commitment: Maintain open communication regarding image sharing. Discuss and agree upon any posting plans prior to the shoot to avoid misunderstandings.
BTS: All BTS (Behind the scenes) VIDEO and PHOTOS must be approved and mutually agreed to be scheduled before publishing or posting to any media.
